As you are likely already aware, 2022 Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa made an unexpected appearance in a post-game interview last Sunday night following the San Francisco 49ers’ 30-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He pointed to a white “MAGA” hat, which is the catchphrase of Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” political campaign, before rushing to the locker room. The endorsement itself isn’t shocking because Bosa has openly backed Trump throughout the 2020 campaign against Joe Biden; what is noteworthy, though, is the platform he used to provide Trump with “free advertising” in light of the forthcoming election on Tuesday, November 5.
