The Department of Infrastructure, Ports, and Transport (DIPT) has issued a no-parking advisory ahead of Bagatelle, Castries roadworks that will begin in the first week of October.
“During this time, we kindly request that residents refrain from parking on the side of the road between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m,” a DIPT release said.
According to the release, this will allow the contractor to perform the necessary work safely and efficiently.
In addition, the DIPT advised that sections of the road may need to be temporarily closed during construction.
However, it explained that there would be prior notice of any closures to minimise inconvenience.
The Bagatelle roadworks will involve rehabilitating the existing box drains and covering the drains to widen the road.
“We apologize for any disruptions this project may cause and thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to improve the infrastructure in your community,” the DIPT release said.
