The Birmingham Times On Saturday, Pastor Mike Jr. triumphed in all nine categories for which he was nominated at the 2025 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, securing the esteemed title of Artist of the Year for an impressive fourth time. His remarkable performance stands out as one of the most dominant in the event's history, overshadowing gospel icons Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp, who each garnered three artist of the year accolades. Known as Michael McClure Jr., PMJ serves as the founder and senior pastor of Rock City Church in the Birmingham area. Beyond Artist of the Year, his accolades included Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Contemporary Album of the Year, raising his total Stellar awards to 28. His EP "I Got Away" not only reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart but also earned him five awards, alongside four for his single “Amen,” which peaked at No. 4 on Hot Gospel Songs in January 2025.
