His remarkable performance stands out as one of the most dominant in the event's history, overshadowing gospel icons Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp, who each garnered three artist of the year accolades. Known as Michael McClure Jr., PMJ serves as the founder and senior pastor of Rock City Church in the Birmingham area. Beyond Artist of the Year, his accolades included Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Contemporary Album of the Year, raising his total Stellar awards to 28.
