WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Congressional Black Caucus is made up of mostly African-American members of the United States Congress. This year, the theme of their 53rd Annual Legislative Conference was “From Vision to Victory: Amplifying Black Voices.” This year’s theme underscores a call to action that drives advocacy and collaboration in the pursuit of progress. Emanating from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., this year’s ALC was co-chaired by U.S. Representatives Lucy McBath of Georgia and Troy Carter of Louisiana. The Georgia Reception is hosted by United States Senator Jon Ossoff. He continues the tradition laid by former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn, which brings individuals from all walks of life in Georgia together for fellowship.
