The Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti (FLM Haiti) will host its annual Pray for Haiti Day on Friday, September 20, 2024.&
& Pray for Haiti Day is a celebration and reflection on the good work that the Pittsburgh-based nonprofit FLM Haiti does to support and empower the people of Haiti to help themselves.&
& The event takes place at Lincoln Avenue Church of God, 404 Lincoln Ave., Pgh, 15206. The service begins at 7 p.m.&
& This year’s celebration, Prayer and Praise 4 Haiti, will feature music by gospel artist Patrick Polk as well as presentations by the Rev. Tony Armstead with Grace Tabernacle Community; the Rev. J. Anthony Gilbert of Another Level Ministries; and Thomas Spencer, senior pastor Lincoln Avenue Church of God. &
& There will be praise dance by Tamira Wilson, artistic director of GraceMotion, a dance ministry.&
& Bishop Leon D. Pamphile, the CEO and founder of FLM Haiti, and board chair Birdy Reynolds, will also give remarks that commemorate FLM’s more than 40 years of providing Haitians with uplift through education, health care, and strategic partnerships.
