Florida Woman, 81, Accused Of Spraying Bear Mace On Black Kids Ages 3 And 6 After Months Of Racial Harassment

A Florida mother asserts that an 81-year-old woman, facing felony charges for allegedly spraying bear mace at her daughters, has subjected her family to ongoing racial harassment since they relocated next door. Ada Anderson was apprehended last month in Ocala, Florida, charged with felony battery for reportedly using a racial slur against two young girls, ages 3 and 6, before dousing them with bear mace.The incident transpired while the children were playing in their driveway. Their mother, April Morant, initially mistook the can for a weapon. “I thought it was a gun, but it was mace,” she recounted to WCJB. “It was a significant amount of bear mace.”Morant noted that Anderson had harassed them since their arrival last November. The situation escalated dramatically with the macing incident, leading Morant to initiate a GoFundMe to assist in relocating her family.
