On Sunday, January 28, 2024, about 9:30 p.m., the Vieux-Fort Police Station received a report of a shooting, which occurred at Westhall Group, Vieux-Fort. At the scene, a man was discovered lying motionless on a concrete path with multiple wounds to his torso. A woman in her fifties was also injured in the incident and was taken to a medical facility for treatment. She is currently in stable condition. The victim has been identified as Charles Victor of Mon Repos, Micoud.
