Prayer: Loss and grief

Since 2020, we’ve been in a perpetual season of Grief. We have collectively lost mothers, fathers, husbands, sisters, brothers, cousins, close friends, church members, and colleagues. Their names are etched in our hearts, and we hold onto cherished memories of each one. We are still hurting, yet we strive to find solace in the sweetness of those memories. Our Dear Lord, You said, to everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven:& A time to be born and a time to die, a time to mourn and a time to dance. So we mourn and then gather to celebrate their lives. In today’s world, we have time to prepare to die, as in going to Hospice, where we prepare to transition from life to death. We pray for those who are in Hospice for care that focuses on comfort as they are approaching the end of life. Lord, remind them that You love them, no matter what they are going through.
