Baba spearheaded a community cleanup initiative in the villages of Zana (Kirimanyaga) in the Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District. Collaborating with local leaders and students from Zana Parents’ School, the team worked to clean markets and other community areas. Baba’s campaign aligns with broader efforts by the Ugandan government and international partners to address malaria.& For instance, the Ministry of Health has launched multiple initiatives, including the distribution of millions of Long-Lasting Insecticide-Treated Nets (LLINs) and indoor residual spraying programs, aimed at reducing the malaria burden across the country.& Her work underscores the critical role of community involvement and education in public health initiatives, advocating that a collective effort is necessary to significantly lower malaria cases and deaths in Uganda.
