(The Dallas Examiner) – The DFW Aggies were founded in 1992 to provide a community for graduates, families and friends of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. N.C. A&T is in Greensboro, North Carolina, nearly 1,000 miles away, and the nearest alumni groups are in Houston and Atlanta. The organization’s mission is to help Aggies continue their success and impactful footprints while away from home. On July 27, the DFW Aggies hosted the 2024 New Student Send Off. Over 30 new students that will be attending N.C. A&T in the fall were invited, along with their families. Other guests included current students and recent and past graduates. Mikela Boyd, who attended the event, is an incoming freshman. She chose the university for the culture and opportunities available.
