Rallying for Rafah: Ongoing Actions in Kansas City Illuminate the Unbreakable Palestinian Spirit

In the shadows of American celebration, Rafah, the Palestinian city in the southern Gaza Strip, became the epicenter of an unfathomably violent massacre. As the israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) genocidal campaign continues, IOF forces launched a strategic, unprecedented onslaught of bombs in the city while the world remained distracted. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the israeli massacre left over 67 dead. At the time of the attacks, Rafah was the most densely populated city in the world as more than one million Palestinians were forced to flee over 20 miles south of a now leveled Gaza for safety.& In the days following horrific attack, Kansas City’s streets bore witness to a profound gathering of souls, united in grief, solidarity, and defiance.
