Zain ‘Ziggyx4’ Allie has a new style of rap.
FAST-RISING hip-hop sensation Ziggyx4 says jail has changed him.
Growing up in the violent streets of Manenberg, Cape Town, the rapper, whose real name is Zain Allie, was exposed to violence and drugs, which eventually landed him in prison.
However, this challenging experience brought a major change for him.
Ziggyx4 told Daily Sun seeing himself behind bars and handcuffed changed his perspective on life, and he started to rap.
During his debut EP titled Gangsta Baby celebration on Thursday evening, 14 November, at the Opera Lounge in Rosebank, he said he aims to bring pride to his community by rapping in Afrikaans.
About rapping in Afrikaans, Ziddyx4 said that it was intentional and aimed at teaching kids in his kasi in a way they understand.
