NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Restoration has commenced on the George W. Hubbard House, the historic home of Meharry Medical College's inaugural president, supported by a $100,000 grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation's African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund. Friends of Hubbard House spearhead this initiative to transform the long-abandoned residence into a community health center, offering essential medical, dental, and mental health services. Renovations, led by CD Steger Construction Inc., began in March and focus on critically needed structural and aesthetic updates, preserving its historic integrity.
