Beef & Boards dinner Theatre presents “The King and I” through May 19.  Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The King and I” Tony Award-winning Musical set in 19th century Siam. Based on Margaret Landon’s novel “Anna and the King of Siam,” the show follows the true story of Anna Loenowens, a British widow and King Mongkut, the king of Siam, after he summons her to tutor his many children and wives. I experienced a trip down memory lane at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre with “The King and I.”& As a 70’s baby who grew up watching this classic on TV, I was thrilled to catch it live, and it did not disappoint. The nostalgia hit hard, and I was delighted to share this experience with my 12-year-old son, who loved it just as much as I did.
