The Birmingham Stallions are confirmed to continue their presence in Birmingham for the 2026 United Football League (UFL) season, as stated by league co-owner Mike Repole. This announcement came during an interview on “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning.” Speculation regarding the Stallions’ potential relocation surged after a report by James Larsen from Pro Football Newsroom in July, which suggested that the Stallions, along with the Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers, were poised to move.Recently, Repole expressed concerns about attendance, revealing in a post on X that while the Stallions are a historic franchise, they have experienced a significant decline in fan turnout. He tasked local supporters with securing 5,000 new season ticket deposits within a week. By Thursday, nearly 2,200 new deposits had already been made. Since their inception in 2022, the Stallions have triumphed, winning both the 2022 and 2023 USFL championships, and claiming the first UFL title in 2024 after the USFL and XFL merger.
