Sacramento Democrats rally behind Kamala Harris for 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris touched down in Sacramento this morning, greeted by the warm embrace of local and state officials. It was a day that had been carefully curated, designed to promote both Harris and President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign. As Harris stepped off of Air Force Two, she was met with a flurry of activity. Lt. Gov Eleni Kounalakis, currently acting governor while Gavin Newsom campaigns for Biden, was one of the first to welcome Harris to the city. Rep. Doris Matsui, Attorney General Rob Bonta, and Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg also joined in on the reception, eager to show their support for the vice president.
