Police Make Dozens Of Arrests As Sacramento Regional Crackdown Uncovers Guns And Illegal Drugs

During a weeklong initiative, the Sacramento Police Department, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the California Highway Patrol, apprehended 28 individuals on felony charges and confiscated significant quantities of illegal substances, firearms, and cash. According to Officer Allison Smith, authorities seized 230 grams of methamphetamine, 2,100 grams of cocaine, 52 grams of heroin, and an alarming 47,000 fentanyl pills, totaling nine grams of fentanyl. Additionally, eight handguns and $1,900 in cash were recovered during the operation. Smith highlighted that these arrests extended beyond city limits, underscoring the pivotal role of Sacramento Police in this joint endeavor. “The robust partnerships we cultivate are crucial for operations like these,” stated Smith, emphasizing their commitment to dismantling criminal activities and enhancing community safety.
