Saint Lucia makes BJK debut this week

Team Saint Lucia is in Trinidad & Tobago this week, to participate in the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup competition for the first time. This marks a historic moment for Saint Lucia tennis, as it is the first time our nation is competing in this prestigious tournament, the top tier of amateur team competition in women’s tennis. The team comprises player-captain Meggan William-Dixon, Jessica Eudovic, and Iyana Paul. The trio is competing for the opportunity to be promoted to Group 2 of the competition. William-Dixon and Eudovic both have experience playing in the United States of America at various levels. Paul is still a junior. All three came through the grassroots development programme in Saint Lucia. The National Tennis Association has extended its congratulations and thanks to the pioneering threesome. “We are very proud of the young ladies who answered the call when the invitation was sent out to represent Saint Lucia. They have been training and preparing diligently for this tournament and are experienced in playing events at this level and in the format of the Billie Jean King Cup.
