Saint Lucia's CARIFESTA Delegation Touches Down in Barbados

The delegation from Saint Lucia has officially arrived in Barbados for CARIFESTA XV, the iconic Caribbean arts and culture festival taking place from August 22 to 31. This vibrant event unites creative talents from throughout the region, celebrating Caribbean identity through various artistic expressions. Organized by the Cultural Development Foundation (CDF), Saint Lucia's team showcases an exciting blend of cultural and contemporary artists across numerous disciplines. Attendees can anticipate intriguing performances and exhibitions spanning folk dance, theatre, music, masquerade, craft, fashion design, poetry, visual arts, drumming, culinary arts, and film. Saint Lucia will prominently feature at the Youth Village and main showcases, emphasizing the island's artistic legacy and innovative ethos. The Government of Saint Lucia has notably supported this participation through the CDF. Previously held in Trinidad & Tobago in 2019, CARIFESTA XV marks a return for the festival, with the new theme being Caribbean Roots. Global Excellence.
