Disgraced rapper P Diddy‘s has no access to any kind of ‘special privileges’ in prison and won’t even get to watch TV, a former inmate has revealed.
The music star, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested last month in New York and was later charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution. He denies all allegations and has pleaded not guilty but remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
However his money means nothing inside and the hip-hop mogul – known for his lavish lifestyle – is being treated just like anyone else, it is claimed. Married at First Sight star Timothy Smith previously served time in a US federal prison and he has given a glimpse at life behind bars.
He says Diddy’s current jail conditions are certain to be “grim” and that his status offers no “special treatment” at all. He explained: “His money and wealth won’t get him any benefits. In the federal system, it’s so limited, you don’t get extra privileges because you’re rich. His wealth won’t help him in here, nothing at all.
