In the world of NBA analysis, no one holds back quite like Shaquille O’Neal. As a member of TNT’s “Inside the NBA” panel, O’Neal is known for his unfiltered opinions on the hottest topics in the league. When the crew gathered for the first time since Draymond Green’s recent indefinite suspension, it was only a matter of time before O’Neal weighed in. Green’s suspension came as a result of his strike on Suns center Jusuf Nurkic during a game on December 12th. The NBA justified the indefinite length of the suspension by pointing to Green’s “history of unsportsmanlike acts.” It was also reported that Green would be embarking on a path of counseling to address challenges outside of basketball.During the TNT pregame show on December 19th, O’Neal expressed his thoughts on the suspension and Green’s counseling. Clearly aggravated, O’Neal vehemently opposed the idea that Green needed counseling, both on and off the court. In O’Neal’s eyes, Green is a solid human being who doesn’t require any intervention.
