Shots Fired In Marc – One Man Dead, Woman Injured

One man died, and his female companion sustained injuries after shooters ambushed them at Marc, Bexon, Friday night. Police have identified the deceased as Emen Emmanuel of Marc and disclosed that the female was rushed to a medical facility for treatment. The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) learned of the incident at about 11:30 pm, responding with units from Castries and Babonneau fire stations. The emergency personnel transported the female who had sustained ‘penetrating wounds’ to her right arm and left thigh. According to reports, the woman and the deceased were walking towards home when they were shot. Saint Lucia has so far recorded two homicides for the year. The first homicide occurred on Thursday, January 9, when police responded to a report of a shooting at Barre Denis, Castries, and learned that a 22-year-old man had succumbed to apparent gunshot injuries. Investigators identified the deceased as Gabriel Junior Henry, who, according to reports, was sitting on his verandah when he came under attack.
