A Florida man, accused of a drunken, racist outburst at a Miami hotel, is currently in custody. According to an arrest report accessed by WPLG, 30-year-old Anthony Governale was intoxicated and loudly berating a Palm Tree Club employee at the VIP entrance late Wednesday night, hurling racial slurs.Governale reportedly shouted, "F— you n—r. I got a yellow n—r and a s— n—r," the latter being a derogatory term for Hispanics. Despite an off-duty officer escorting him away, Governale persisted in yelling slurs, referring to someone derogatorily as a "slave n—r."His disruptive actions attracted crowds, causing several vehicles to halt on the John F. Kennedy Causeway, thus endangering public safety. When officers attempted to detain him, Governale resisted violently, even assaulting one officer by grabbing their hair and another by their neck. Ultimately, a third officer employed a Taser, leading to Governale's arrest. Initially uncooperative, his identity was later confirmed via fingerprinting. He now faces multiple charges, including two felonies for battery against law enforcement and resisting arrest, with a bond set at $12,650.
