SPORTS HISTORY IN BLACK: Brandon Roy sets NBA Summer League record

Damian Lillard is the basketball player many consider the greatest point guard in PortlandTrailblazers history. But one point guard that could have been up there with him or even ahead of him was Brandon Roy. Unfortunately, injuries to one of his knees derailed his career, and he was not able to fulfill his promise on the court. But before the injuries caught up, Roy showed his fans his magic and that started in the NBA Summer League. On July 12, 2006, Roy put up 35 points against the Phoenix Suns Summer League team.
