Standing Finance Committee Approves 2024-2025 Estimates

The Standing Finance Committee of the House, comprising all members of the House of Assembly, has made significant progress in the nation’s fiscal planning process today.
Under the guidance of the Chairman and Speaker of the House of Assembly Hon. Claudius J. Francis, the Committee convened to review and approve the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure 2024/2025.
This crucial step is in keeping with the rules of procedure.
Under the rules of The Standing Finance Committee of the House, members are allowed to question the Minister for Finance on figures presented. No questions were asked.
The approved Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure 2024/2025 Report, will be formally presented before the House of Assembly on March 26th, 2024 at 5 pm by the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Hon Philip J. Pierre.
This will be followed by the debate of The Standing Finance Committee on the report. The debate commences Wednesday March 27th ,2024 at 9 am and it is expected that the Leader of the Opposition will respond to the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure 2024/2025 Report.
