Extracurricular activities are vehicles that students use to gain new skills, build character, and find their passions. With commitment, extracurricular activities can drive them to destinations where they are seen and awarded for their talent. This concept is presented in the ALLBLK series Supa Girlz. The show follows dance director Traci Young-Bryon, who trains the next batch of young women to be on the G Girls, the nationally renowned Miami Northwestern Senior High School dance team.
“People should watch Supa Girls because it is a raw, uncut, and authentic show. You’ve never seen anything like this from young black women. It’s positive, passionate, and will touch you in more places than one,” said Traci Young-Bryon, Dance Director of the Miami Northwestern G Girls.
Supa Girlz premiered on ALLBLK on Thursday, March 7. Trishtan Willaims and Evan Rosenfield created the docu-series. The G Girls are a dance team associated with a Miami Northwestern Senior High School marching band.
