On Nov. 17, 2024, All Things MOMMIE, Inc., led by CEO Erien Dickens, will host its fourth annual MomsGiving — a unique event created for mothers, stepmothers, bonus moms and mother figures to come together for an evening of connection, self-care and community. As a Black female entrepreneur and mother, Dickens deeply understands the unique struggles that many mothers face, particularly the disparities experienced by women compared to men in areas like pay equity, work-life balance and access to leadership roles. While these challenges impact all women, they can be more pronounced for minority women, especially considering that Black women have one of the highest labor force participation rates among women in the United States, at 62.2%.
