Southern Utah University men’s basketball coach, Rob Jeter, has spoken out about the recent arrest of Hercy Miller, Master P’s son, saying that the incident is simply a “huge misunderstanding.”
Miller, along with two of his teammates, Brock Felder and Peter Dadson Jr., were accused of stealing refrigerators from outside their school’s bookstore.
According to court documents, the theft took place on November 11 at the SUU campus in Cedar City, Utah. Surveillance video reportedly showed Miller and his teammates taking the coolers and loading them into separate cars. When confronted by the police, Miller claimed that he believed the refrigerators were going to be thrown away, which he thought justified taking them.
Dadson also stated that he believed the coolers had been left out for nearly a month and were destined for disposal.
Coach Jeter expressed his belief that the entire incident was a mix-up and emphasized that the university is actively working to resolve the situation. He assured that the university is committed to addressing the issue promptly.
