The Netherlands Sweeps The 2024 Red Bull BC One World Finals

On December 7 in Rio de Janeiro, Dutch b-boy Menno van Gorp and b-girl India Sardjoe took home the winners’ belts at the 2024 Red Bull BC One World Finals, one of the most prestigious and longest running breaking competitions. It also marks the first time that both winning breakers have been from the same country.
In addition to being champions from the Netherlands, Menno and India have a few more things in common. This isn’t the first time they’ve won Red Bull BC One—India won the 2022 b-girl event, and Menno has won three times prior to this unprecedented fourth. They both competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics as well. Lastly, despite being 17 years apart in age, the two are in the same crew, Hustle Kidz. When asked to say a few words after winning the b-girl bracket, India mentioned that “he’s [Menno] going to kill it,” and sure enough, the Dutchman won his battle shortly after.
