Like many fellow gamers, I eagerly secured my order, which included Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart World, a Pro Controller, a 1TB Express SD card, Donkey Kong Bananza, the Mario Party Jamboree edition, and Joy-Con Wheels. My excitement for release day was palpable, and I arrived just in time to be 14th in line. After setting everything up, my partner and I decided to play one race in Mario Kart World, saving the real gaming for the following morning. As I continued exploring the Switch 2, its quicker loading speeds were immediately noticeable, particularly within the Nintendo e-Shop. Docked mode truly enhances gameplay, showcasing graphical upgrades across numerous titles. The Pro Controller stands out for its comfort and responsive triggers. Mario Kart World embraces the familiar chaos, yet it might require additional content to surpass its predecessor, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Overall, while the Switch 2 is noteworthy, potential buyers may want to wait for expanding game options like Donkey Kong Bananza before committing.
