Thieves Steal Headlights, Battery From Carielle Resident’s Car

Thieves, wearing hoodies and dressed in black, disabled a car alarm and made off with the vehicle’s headlights and battery early Thursday morning in Carielle, Castries. A neighbour alerted the owner, Thelma Lord, to the theft. Lord said she later learned that someone in the neighbourhood had seen two men after 3:00 am who had parked a black Tiida a short distance away from her 2013 Suzuki Swift. She told St. Lucia Times the men apparently had already entered her vehicle and were carrying the stolen items. Lord said based on the information she received, one of the men was slim while the other was muscular. She told the police, posted the information online, and received several leads regarding the black Tiida. Lord said she learned that in the past, different CCTV cameras had recorded the two men who had stolen parts from her car.
