Three people sustained various injuries after a head-on collision between two vehicles at Praslin on New Year’s Day. Dennery Fire Station personnel rushed to the scene after learning of the incident at about 2:45 pm. On arrival, the responders found that the collision involved a Suzuki Ciaz and a Toyota Granace taxi. The emergency crew had to extricate a female passenger trapped in the Suzuki. In addition to lacerations to her forehead and lower body, she also appeared to have sustained a leg fracture. The emergency personnel transported her and the Suzuki driver, who complained of chest pains, to St. Jude Hospital. According to reports, the taxi driver, who appeared to have sustained minor injuries, declined immediate transportation to a medical facility.
