Tragedy In Belle Vue: Man Dies In Wall Collapse

Belle Vue, Vieux Fort, was the scene of tragedy on Friday morning as a 25-year-old man identified as Kimroy Jeffrey lost  his life when a retaining wall collapsed on him. The Saint Lucia Fire and Emergency Services (SLFS) received a distress call around 9 a.m., rushing to the scene in a desperate effort to save the victim. Despite being transported to St. Jude Hospital for urgent medical attention, the young man was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Reports indicate he was a disc jockey preparing to embark on a new chapter of his life with a job aboard a cruise ship. He also worked in construction. A video circulating on social media captures the grim aftermath. In the footage, staff from Lazarus Funeral Parlour are seen loading a gurney into a hearse. The anguished cries and screams of those present highlighted the devastating impact of the incident on the victim’s loved ones and the community.
