Political Intimidation? The Trump Administration's Indictment of New Jersey Rep. McIver Under Scrutiny

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Attorney Alina Habba from New Jersey revealed on social media that Congresswoman LaMonica Mclver has been indicted on charges of “forcibly impeding and interfering with federal law enforcement officers.” This incident took place during Mclver's oversight visit to an ICE facility. In light of the indictment, Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, provided a strong reaction: “This malicious indictment represents a miscarriage of justice, communicated via tweet, aimed at punishing those elected officials who are holding this administration accountable for its lawlessness and cruelty.
