He implied that Reese's actions led to death threats against him and his family, revealing he was informed by her associates that she indeed dislikes Clark. Four-time NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal—the mentor of Reese—responded firmly on the “Off The Record” podcast, demanding Griffin cease his disparagement of her. Echoing Shaq’s sentiments, ESPN analyst Ryan Clark criticized Griffin's inflammatory statements as well.
