UAB Braces for Unprecedented Freshman Enrollment Surge in Fall 2025

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is poised to embrace its most substantial freshman cohort ever this fall, as indicated by initial enrollment statistics. Although final counts will be completed during the official census in October, preliminary figures suggest a striking 25 percent rise in freshman admissions for fall 2025 compared to the previous year. Early reports indicate an influx of around 500 first-time, full-time freshmen. Previously, the largest freshman class numbered 2,415 in 2021, with this year's estimate nearing 2,500.This upswing demonstrates escalated interest in UAB’s diverse academic programs, innovative spaces, and dynamic campus culture — integral facets of the university's SUCCESS Initiative. “Our positive early enrollment data highlights the extraordinary quality of our faculty and the transformative educational possibilities we provide,” commented UAB President Ray L.
