Ugaboys Provide Stance on Songwriting: We Have No Certified Songwriters in Uganda

In a recent interview, the singing duo of Ugaboys Africa shared their thoughts on the current state of songwriting in Uganda, and they argued that Uganda has yet to see a certified songwriter since the passing of the late Mowzey Radio. According to them, despite receiving offers from various songwriters eager to pen lyrics for them, they often find themselves disappointed upon hearing the proposed lyrics. In fact, they expressed a desire to write for these self-proclaimed songwriters, highlighting a gap in the industry’s standards.
