UPDATE: 20-Year-Old Killed in Reduit Stabbing Identified as Jolie William

Police have confirmed the identity of the young woman who was fatally wounded in a violent attack at a guest house in Reduit, Gros Islet early Friday morning. She is 20-year-old Jolie William of New Village, Castries. According to a statement from the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, officers attached to the Gros Islet Police Station responded to a wounding incident around 3:40 a.m. on Friday, in Reduit. Upon arrival, investigators found two female victims, one of whom was unresponsive with wounds on her body. The second victim, though seriously injured, was still responsive. Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service attended to both women at the scene before transporting them to the Owen King European Union Hospital for further medical attention. However, William succumbed to her injuries. Police are now investigating a murder and attempted murder. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
