The Washington Post has pulled out of a significant advertisement titled "Fire Elon Musk," which aimed to demand the dismissal of the Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder. This move comes after Common Cause, an organization critical of Musk, confirmed the withdrawal to USA TODAY. Initially, the paper had entered into a $115,000 contract with Common Cause and the Southern Poverty Law Center Action Fund to publish the ad in Tuesday's edition, as reported by The Hill. Following the submission of the artwork, Virginia Kase Solomón, President of Common Cause, mentioned that they were offered to place the ad within the newspaper but not as a wrap-around feature. The group declined the offer, expressing lingering concerns. The intended advertisement was designed to cover both the front and back page, accompanied by an internal full-page layout.
