More than 150 masked white nationalists converged in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, brandishing Confederate flags and shouting slogans like “life, liberty, victory.” This provocative pop-up demonstration, organized by the far-right group Patriot Front, raised alarms among residents and drew sharp rebukes from city officials and civil rights advocates.
The rally unfolded on public grounds near the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Members, clad in navy shirts and khaki pants, marched in formation, carrying shields and symbols associated with white supremacy. In a speech, leader Thomas Rousseau declared an ongoing “war against their people,” arguing for the reclamation of America.
Kansas City’s Mayor, Quinton Lucas, stressed the community's rejection of hate, while museum officials distanced themselves from the group’s views, emphasizing their commitment to inclusivity.
