Photo by Donnell Suggs/The Atlanta VoiceThe early voting period ends on Friday and with a 45% statewide turnout as of Wednesday morning, there has been a record number of votes cast in Georgia, a crucial battleground state for United States Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz; and former United States President Donald Trump and his running mate Ohio Senator J.D. Vance. There have been 3.2 million votes cast thus far, according to election data from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office.
