Women & Minority Small Business Market to celebrate Small Business Saturday 

Each year, the Women & Minority Small Business Market (WMSBM) hosts an annual event in honor of Small Business Saturday. As local businesses around the country open their doors to celebrate Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30 — the Saturday following Thanksgiving — the annual Women and Minority Small Business Saturday Market will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Global Village Welcome Center. “We are women, and we are minorities, so we thought this would be an opportunity not only for us but for others that were like us,” Jerilyn Lewis, co-founder of WMSBM, said in a statement. The market, which is a partnership with the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper and Global Village, is free and open to the community. Guests will have the opportunity to support more than 70 of Indianapolis’ women- and minority-owned businesses while enjoying a festive and inclusive atmosphere.
