Heroic Mom Foils Kidnapping Attempt: Shocking Video of 6-Year-Old Boy Abducted on Brooklyn Sidewalk

A 6-year-old boy from Brooklyn sustained injuries on Sunday night when a man in a fez allegedly attempted to abduct him on a crowded Coney Island sidewalk, as reported by authorities and witnesses. The alarming event transpired around 9:56 p.m. at the intersection of Surf Avenue and Stillwell Avenue. According to police, the alleged abductor, identified as 36-year-old Jonathan Robalino, seized the child, known as Rah’Shem “Rah’Rah” Gantt, in an effort to escape. Gantt received treatment at Coney Island Hospital for minor injuries and was later reported to be in stable condition, per the New York Post. Witnesses described the scene as shocking. Sharon Robinson, the boy's mother, recounted her horror at seeing a stranger hold her son like a football. She asserted that without Rah’Rah's screams, the outcome could have been devastating. Robalino was ultimately apprehended after a chase that concluded near a candy store. He faces charges of assault and attempted kidnapping.
