Your Move MKE fundraiser combines live graffiti art, music, dance and more

If you were in the crowd for the recent HYFIN Anti-Gala, you know at least a little bit about Your Move MKE, the South Side organization that received the Social Impact Award. On the heels of that well-deserved recognition, Your Move MKE launched ticket sales for its annual Graffiti Gallery Fundraiser, which is set for the evening of Nov. 16. The event features a combination of activities and elements you’re just not going to find at your typical fundraising effort. The centerpiece, of course, is live graffiti art created by local artists, as well as pieces available for purchase that were made by some of our community’s younger creative talents. Art will also find its way into a silent auction that includes unique community experiences, with all proceeds benefiting the free youth programs Your Move MKE offers. In addition, you can check out woodwork made by Urban Trade Skills, test your skills at the Hip-Hop Chess Club, move to the irresistible atmosphere created by the night’s DJ (our own Kenny Perez) and take in powerful performances from Youth Move Restorative Justice.
