As the challenge of global food security intensifies, Saint Lucia is actively fortifying its agricultural framework. Recently, a cohort of 22 farmers concluded a five-week training initiative designed to enhance their expertise. This comprehensive program covered essential themes, including Good Agricultural Practices, Pesticide Use and Safety, Cultivation Management, Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture, and Organic Pesticides.This endeavor, a collaborative effort between the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security, and Rural Development, is integral to the ongoing Seven Crops Project scheduled from 2022 to 2026. During the graduation ceremony, Daniel Lee from TTM urged participants to harness their newfound skills to effect meaningful change within their communities. Such partnerships are pivotal in fortifying agricultural resilience amid prevailing global economic uncertainties.
