$500,000 in Grants Now Available to Fund Programs Supporting Sacramento Start-up Businesses & Entrepreneurs

The City of Sacramento Office of Innovation and Economic Development is now accepting applications for grants to fund organizations that help start-up businesses and entrepreneurs in Sacramento.The “Innovation Incubator and Accelerator Grants” are focused on supporting early-stage businesses located in the city of Sacramento. The goal is to help participants start or grow their own businesses, spur innovation, and stimulate economic development.Companies and nonprofit organizations with proven experience are encouraged to apply now through Sept. 9.“Incubator and accelerator programs are critical to building a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sacramento and the region,” said Mayor Darrell Steinberg. “By investing in these programs, the City of Sacramento is helping connect startups located in the city with the resources they need to grow and succeed.”“Sacramento is full of entrepreneurs and small businesses with innovative ideas looking for opportunities to make them a reality,” said Assistant City Manager Michael Jasso. “The grants will support incubators and accelerators that provide essential mentorship, education, and resources, fostering innovation and driving economic growth in our community.”Companies and nonprofits can apply for up to $100,000 to fund incubator and accelerator programs hosted in the city of Sacramento for groups of startups with high growth potential and innovative offerings....
