71-Year-Old Black Health Educator Launches Harriet Tubman-Inspired TV Show to Empower Girls

Nationwide — Celebrated author and health educator Karol V. Brown proudly announces her latest book, The Harriet Tubman Way: An Inspirational Guide to Self-Love, Empowerment, and Legendary Leadership for Girls. This groundbreaking guidebook harnesses the enduring legacy of Harriet Tubman to inspire young girls to embrace their inner strength and leadership potential.
At 71 years old, Karol has also pioneered an uncharted territory in TV. Earlier this year, she launched a live TV show for girls ages 10 to 14 on Bold Brave TV. The show is called “Harriet Tubman: Love in Actions” and airs live on Monday evenings at 8pm EST on YouTube and as a podcast on SoundCloud.
Karol’s mission is to close the generational gap between grandmothers and granddaughters. She hosts guests with powerful stories and wisdom, along with organizations that are mentoring girls to highlight their creativity and talents. The program is a virtual room where “All Girls Love Themselves.” Using stories from The Harriet Tubman Way book, the show discusses self-love lessons and features quotes from influential African American women.
