9th Annual Leadership Summit by Sickle Cell Community Consortium Unites Atlanta for Change

At the 9th Annual Leadership Summit and General Assembly of the Sickle Cell Community Consortium (SC3), prominent leaders, patients, caregivers, and advocates gathered to honor a decade of resilience. The event, themed “Legacy of Leadership: Advancing Leadership for Impactful Change,” took place at the Atlanta Airport Marriott on April 26. Dr. Lakiea Bailey founded SC3, promoting the ethos “Nothing for us, without us.” Bailey highlighted the importance of empowering individuals over feelings of helplessness. SC3’s initiatives emphasize community unity and enhance advocacy for sickle cell disease. The forthcoming Warrior Con in Orlando promises educational opportunities for all involved.
