(BlackNews.com) – A Different World was a spin off from The Cosby Show that followed Denise, the daughter of Cliff and Claire Huxtable, through her first year in college at Hillman College. The years to follow focused more on other students, such as college sweethearts Dwayne Wayne, Whitney Gilbert, as well as Jaleesa Vinson-Taylor, Kimberly Reese, Winifred “Freddie” Brooks, Maggie Lautenm, Stevie Rallen and Ron Johnson.
Now, the legacy continues with a fresh perspective from the next generation. Netflix is in the early stages of developing a sequel series that will follow the adventures of Dwayne and Whitley’s daughter at the same fictional HBCU.
