Sacramentan Creates Inclusive Piercing Business with Women of Color Colleagues

Since its inception in 2017, Andie Morais has disrupted industry standards with her thriving enterprise, the Piercing Parlor. The allure of her establishment lies not only in the high caliber of its artistry but also in the fact that it is entirely operated by women of color, notably Black and Latina women. As a Black woman and the founder, Morais is a distinctive figure in a field typically dominated by white men.Despite the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly impacted Black-owned ventures, the Piercing Parlor thrived. Morais attributes this achievement to her precise techniques, robust business strategies, and the trust she nurtures with her clientele.
